Drift 170 HD Stealth First Test.
A few days ago, I picked up a "point of view" camera. I will be using this on my track days on my bike and car. Later I will go into the details why I chose this over the other cameras. (like GoPro)
Here is the first sample video. This was shot in 720P, 60 frames per second, with the external mic. For the web I have sized it down to 640 x 360 @ 2Mbps from 1280 x 720 @ 8Mbps.
The clicking sound is my zipper on my jacket when the dog pulls.
March 24 Update: New Layout
I hope you like the new layout. It is about 90% done and much closer to what I want.
Next steps:
- Finalize the last 10% of the layout
- Proof read and clean up the old content
- Shorten the l-o-n-g menu names
- Use Flowplayer for all the videos (works on iOS devices)
more to come...
March 21 Update
I want to thank the 4th gen guys at maxima.org for all of their kind comments about the site being back. It is nice to get this positive feedback! I wasn't sure how much "need" there would be for DIY site for a car that is 12+ years old, but it looks to be more than I thought. As I type this there are 7 people on this site. Wow!
Thinking about it, as a car ages, it needs more work. With the down turn in the economy, maybe the site is needed more than I thought.
Thanks for visiting!

Lots of content added...
With the awesome CKEditor, I have added almost 80% of the old site. Some links are broken, but I will double check everything once the content is added.
I can't believe the Maxima content is over 10 years old. It has been a nice trip down memory lane.
Now Adding Content
Content is now slowly being added, starting with the old Maxima content.
When I need a break from adding the Maxima content, I will work more on the site layout.
A little more progress...
I am working on the back end of the web site. Things like theme selection, site layout, etc.
One that is decided, I will be posting up the old Maxima content.
That's all for now.
Motorvate update
In my spare time I will be slowly bringing back the Maxima DIY pages and more. I sold my Maxma in 2007 with 398,000 KM to a guy from Ottawa. I picked him up from the airport, he bought the car, and drove it home. Last I heard, it now has a 97 front end.
